Welcome to the Sunnyside Badminton Club Website!
We are a thriving, friendly club committed to enjoying good badminton
all year round. Sunnyside currently has seven teams playing to a high
standard in the Enfield, Barnet and Hertfordshire leagues. We play club nights on three courts at
the Enfield Drill Hall on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 11:00pm, or two courts if there is a match being played (matches use 2 courts from 10pm onwards).
We use feather shuttles for both Club nights and matches.
In addition to the badminton, Sunnyside enjoys an active social life, with events throughout the year, including a summer BBQ, a Christmas meal, a trip to the All England Badminton Championships at the NIA, Birmingham and impromtpu curries. After-Club beers are also a regular!
Sunnyside participates in the Enfield-Gladbeck German sporting exchange, alternating between hosting our German friends in England and visiting them in Germany each year.
Visitors
We welcome new players of a good standard and do accept promising players including juniors. Visitors are invited to play at £6 per evening, for a maximum of three weeks, to determine if the club is suitable for them.
Fees for 2009-2010
Winter fees (October to April) are £130, summer fees (May to September) are £90 (concessions for students, juniors and the unemployed). A weekly shuttle fee of £4 is charged.
